Great views, good food. A little pricey but still good.

It's good for the area, locals seem to like it since there aren't many choices nearby. Nice view, but food, ambience, waitstaff are definitely not up to par with menu pricing.

Very friendly staff! Food is amazing! So cool to watch the barges going up and down the river while enjoying a nice meal! Us and our kids absoloutely loved it!

The view is amazing. The service was good. Full bar. Fried chicken and cod were good for my companions. Vegetarian options were limited. Black bean burger was good, not great.

Wonderful country restaurant, delicious comfort food (exceptional fried pickles!) And such friendly wait staff. Also the view is beautiful and you can bird watch while you eat.

Our wait time wasn't too bad, just a little over 30 minutes. We could tell the food was made to order and was served to the table up to temp. Friendly staff and good food

Loved being their where my grandmother used to go a lot. Also loved my waitress she took AMAZING care of me especially when my fish was way over cooked. Will be driving back down from Frankfort KY to eat their

The fryed chicken was good and the views from inside & out (patio area) great views at the river the restaurant is updated and staff was professional with uplifting personality.

Great view and great food.

Hot Brown was good. Fried mushrooms juicy and hot. Coffee was hot and it was cold outside. Got no bake cookie haven't tried yet. Looked yummy.

Stopped here on the way back to Louisville, food was good and the view was awesome, but I knocked one star for the service. We wanted to sit by a window to enjoy the view but all the empty tables hadn't been bused yet so we were sat away from the windows, we already received our food by the time they cleared just one table off. We did move to the window, but finished our food and left within 10 minutes. It was a bit disappointing since the may appeal to drive out here is the view, and we weren't able to enjoy it for no reason other than no one wanted to clean a table for us, and we asked several people. It's worth mentioning the place was mostly vacant as we were there about 2 hours after lunch time. Oh well.

Just a southern Indiana tradition. 6 of us went, 4 dinners were great and 2 were just okay. It's all priced very well, dessert was excellent. Service is top notch!

Great view. Food was nice. I would like to see them do something with the facilities. Old bldg could stand a MAJOR redo to match the gorgeous view.

We're from out of town and saw this restaurant in a brochure. Our server, Emily, made an excellent recommendation of the pork chops from my list of choices that I gave her. They are sweet, with an apple glaze, and extremely moist. The view is fantastic!I just tried my to-go dessert. The homemade coconut cream pie is amazing!!

My first time to Overlook Restaurant....food was wonderful....view was spectacular....it didn't hurt that the weather was beautiful and we sat on the deck. It was a wonderful, relaxing experience. We will definitely be back.

Came here for a lunch date and my goodness! Everything about this place was amazing. The staff, food, those amazing Sangrias made by Kim, the spectacular view! We had originally been placed at a table in the middle, but the staff was so gracious enough to ask if we wanted a window seat since the other guest had left. So very kind. I will definitely be back for another visit.

Stopped in around 3 had set out on their patio overlooking the River it was very nice food is good and drinks are cold.

Some of the offerings are simply out of the can, but overall the food was very good. It had been many years since I have been to The Overlook and I was very pleased with everything. Service was very good, friendly people and very helpful. I had the beef Manhattan which was very good and my wife tried the Reuben, also very good. If you want good food, then stop by.

Came to the Overlook to enjoy a meal with my family and was ignored by three waitress for at least 20 minutes. I will not be coming again for a very long time.

The views are awesome and the service was great. Everyone in our group was pleased with the quality of food they ordered. The deserts (Cannoli and Cream Horn) were excellent. There is plenty of seating to allow for physical distancing.

Great food, there was an hour wait, however, we walked in and placed a to go order. 15 minutes later we carried our food to the deck below and enjoyed a nice dinner on the river. We ordered drinks from the bar off the deck and enjoyed free refills from there. A great way to shop the wait. Good insider tip. ;)

Very good homestyle food. Everyone at our table was extremely satisfied with their food. Desserts were great, even the coffee was good and rich. Try the Overlook!

The Overlook is a place where we can go to get quality service and quality food. Being from Leavenworth, I can tell you that The Overlook is a restaurant that takes pride in their establishment. I wouldn't consider eating anywhere else. It doesn't hurt that the view is breathtaking, the people are welcoming, its just got feeling of home.

They are known for their chicken and fish. Both were puny, bland and very disappointing. Instead of a fish fillet we received a piece of fish not much bigger than a fish stick. The chicken breast was about half the size of a normal chicken breast but the view is great.

This was our first time here after years of hearing people talk about how good it is. The views are awesome and the service was great. The food was ok at best. Just seemed like typical bar food. The pork tenderloin was good but the bun seemed stale and a little tough. The onions rings were also good but still just onion rings. Diet Pepsi was flat and the sweet tea was pretty good.

Incredible on all sides! Food is a 10 and an amazing view. Well worth the money and time
